Goals Update

It's been a long time since I posted an update on my original plan to masturbate 1,000 times in 2011.  Now, I'm the kind of guy who takes pride in setting and meeting goals, but this one just ain't gonna happen.  In fact, I'd have to masturbate 37.44 times per day between now and the end of the year in order to make it. And even I can't do that.

Part of the plan was for me to determine a theoretical maximum for myself. I'm a man who loves to masturbate and who has a relatively high sex drive (even at 42 I still have numerous spontaneous erections every day and what I felt was an practically unquenchable thirst for solitary gratification).  I feel absolutely no shame in masturbating, and do not deny myself when the desire hits.  What I have found is that after nearly a year (350 days +) into the experiment, I can average about 1.8 sessions per day.

Included in this run is a 9 day stint of nothing at all (family vacation #1), with another upcoming spanning the last 8 days of the calendar year.  The maximum came on July 24, after a day of 0 preceded by a day of 1.  Gazing over the stats, most of the time when there was a day of 0, it was followed by a 1 -- not by a major day of masturbation.  I would have thought that counterintuitive.  Rather I see a pattern of sustained performance -- 13 consecutive days in Novermber above 2 instances per day, and a 6 day strech in April with daily performance above 3.  July 24 through 29 saw 20 instances within 6 days.

Five months (January, March, April, July and August) had average daily masturbation events greater than 2.

High month totals were January and August with 68 instances of masturbation each.  Low month will be December -- a combination of vacation and other pressing obligations including some family visit travel that interfered with the quest.  December will finish in the 40 range (assuming I manage to masturbate 3 more times this month, not an easy thing to do seeing as I'll be on the family vacation starting Friday morning), tieing February and being edged out (no pun intended) by May and June that both came in at 48, owing, again, to family vacation.

What I've really learned in this is that I have grown to love to masturbate more.  Never once did this quest feel like a chore, and I have had the opportunity to experience exquisite sensations.  My relationship with my penis is stronger than ever.  Masturbation has also taken on a meditative quality for me -- some might even call it a spiritual dimension.  I also have much more intimate knowledge of my trigger points and can experience an orgasm and ejaculation practically at will.  I can also ride the edge practically indefinately.

Some of my closer correspondents have asked what 2012 has in store.  I will most certainly continue my exploration of masturbation in its many forms.  2011 was about ejaculation.  2012 is going to be about building up.  Here's the plan:

Starting in January: Daily ejaculation.  Caveat:  may miss January 1 owing to continued vacation. In February, ejaculation every 2 days.  March: every 3, and so on, until December.  I will also permit an ejaculation on the final day of the month to reset the clock.  Thus, my ejaculation days for the year 2012 are:

January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31.
February: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29.
March: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 31.
April: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30.
May: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 31.
June: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30.
July: 7, 14, 21, 28, 31.
August: 8, 16, 24, 31.
September: 9, 18, 27, 30.
October: 10, 20, 30, 31.
November: 11, 22, 30.
December: 12, 24, 31.

100 days total.  At this point, I'm planning on ejaculating as much as I want on those days.

A final note.  Thanks to all who have sent messages of support through the year.  I've found this very interesting.  I'm sure it's not for everyone, but consider some reflection.  It was certainly worth it to me.
